These are amazing. Cheeky, slightly heartbreaking, and full of great color. I'm a fan. Lauren
i love your pics. Hello i am frank i saw your pics and i really like them. I will like to know you and meet in a person. F.A.
I am a visual artist and i work in a very similar way to you, although i had not heard about you, so it was all so utterly coincidental that i wanted to become smurfette and found the pic which in turn directed me here......

I love your work, its so creative and so sexy. Paul
I've said it before and I'm now here to say it again...I LOVE your work. You have to be two of the most unique, fun, original, innovative and creative artists I know! These Smurf self-portraits are just divine! Where do you get your madness from? I want some!!!! I hope all is well with you in Smurfland, although I'm sure by now you are working on some other crazy, zany, brilliant project. Take care, and thanks again for the great inspiration! Go Girls!!!!!! xxxx Teresa B
Your work is humorous and provocative (always a good combination!). Peter 2/11/08
Defiantly going to go along to have a look at your show. Just had a look at your site, it's amazing - love what you girls are doing. love Gem B 28/10/08
Blue is the new pink. I can't wait to see the pictures in the bare naked flesh next time I'm in London........there's a smurf in all of us. Elly T, Sweden 25/10/08
Oh god I want to have a blue body planted in the sand near the sea...tell me how. I haven't seen such fun girl and decorative too since the B'52s. You are amazing! Finally art and fun..You have a fan in me already! I will look forward to what you make in the future and cherish here what you have already made. Best wishes, Gine, Norway 25/10/08
Saw your show "In bed with the Girls" today and had a chat with Beverley. I think it's wonderful; I'm sure I don't know what Rik Mayall is on about as it's in very good taste. I think "Garden Party " would be a suitable Harvest festival decoration for my local Anglican Church.... Very witty and appealing and I look forward to your next project. best wishes Olga x. London, 25/10/08
Hello, my name is Jessica, I like your site, gut photo! 17/10/2008
Priceless! Some people just won't get it, but I think it is genius and you hit my funny bone every time. Love you guys so much! Jeanine P-S x, Bristol, 17/10/2008
Les Girls!!! What a fun exhibition. What an unusual and interesting look at life. Thanks to Beverley for continuing to open our eyes to new things. Marite W, London, 17/10/08
A provocative show, I actually enjoyed it! Beau 8/10/08
are you in love with each other? Nicholas B 14/9/08
I love the Smurfette photos! Her sexual side was always a bit of a white elephant in the room for me – I mean, she was the only female smurf past puberty. The most plausible explanation for the multitude of smurfs found skipping through the forest is that Smurfette has a (rapacious) sexual side, and the vast majority of the other smurfs are her children. Liz C-T, Australia
Excellent i stumbled across you by accident !!! love the pics !!! gives me inspiration !!!! Natasha C 12/9/08
went to your exhibition, luv it! would say which bit i like best if only i could choose - all really fab, funny, colourful and creative. Must say i did giggle a bit more at the chicken...Katcha B 12/9/08
A laugh on the dark side / a light on the cry side. With appreciation. Adrian, London, 9/08
I loved the show, and was v. impressed by your body of work (no pun intended). Graham B 5/9/08
Great show, very inspiring - congratulations! :-). Anne BB 5/9/08
Really fab last night, guys! And such a great turn out! I've not been to the Beverley Knowles' before, but I think your pieces work exceptionally well housed as they are behind pink paintwork in one of London's hippest parts.
A very big well done indeed! X Ijanric H 4/9/08

your work is very nice. well done. i have to say, i have seen a lot of females photographer's work, you are the best! - cisco 4/9/08
The work is terrific and I really enjoyed the evening. I think my two favourite images are the fairy bread (do you call it that here?) and the kitchen shot looking down from above. But, thinking about it, I've got lots more favourites than that! KD
I just wanted to say how fantastic the exhibition was. Can't believe I've never seen your work before (cept on the website). So glad I came. And of course I especially love the new work, feeling a special affinity to the Care

Love your work! Would love to get to the UK someday to see it in person. Best! Donna K Indianapolis, USA 7/7/08
hey you made me think of tha old Cuddly Toys tune, supposedly an unreleased and only done as a demo Marc Bolan/David Bowie song "Join The Girls"... join the girls, join in with the girls, join my world of girls... hadn't had that tune go thru my head in a while.... Stewart H, London, 5/7/08
Your work is *gorgeous*. Dunni M, London, 2/7/08

Love your work. You are proper fruitloop! Congrats :o) Rod L, Bournemouth, 30/6/08
Your photos are fantastic, so creative. Paul S, Poole, 18/6/08
Your work appears quintessentially female in flavour; finely detailed and intricate, subtle and eliciting journeys of imagination; sometimes childlike in flavour, yet defying simplistic interpretations. You are creating beautiful worlds to wander in. More please! Helen R, 16/6/08
This is really nice website, I found the girls when i source in google. Melissa, Pattaya City, Thailand 22/05/08
amazing and very artistic works. great! ph art, Italy, 18/4/08
I do like your work. And I do like to discover fancy new words: nyotaimori is right up there with callipygian and algolagnia. How do you decide who's going to be the platter, or do you take it in turns? Steve B 27/03/08
You make me want to dress up as the Queen's corgi, all I need now are some oversize models of the Queen's ankles. Guy, Bristol 18/3/08
My dad showed me your website and i was rather shocked.. but i think your photos are incredible.. very different from anything ive seen thats for sure.. best of luck with that.. Andrew, Florida 9/1/08
I love the solid middle-classness which runs through the girls work. Roger the smiling ogre 28/12/07
Very interesting. So colorful! Robin 28/12/07

Wow! Your art looked amazing on that medium in and in that setting (Burlington Club). Great stuff, I adore it! Kitty H, London, 6/12/07
Hope the show is a smash and it all gets sold making you both even more well known as slightly off-beat, but incredibly talented, resourceful and interesting funky women! To use theatre parlance, "Break a leg" (one each!!). Megs, Canberra 28/11/07
Such beautiful talent! Very interested to hear more :). Cari x 21/11/2007
I think your work is pretty cool. Ben W Brisbane 19/11/07

Really really interesting and amazing photos!!!! haaaaaaave a good day! Mademoiselle Kat, Pink City (Toulouse) 8/10/07
Love the tea party pix - good to see you have blossomed still further :o). Emma J, 16/9/07
I do not like modern art BUT your funny and like afternoon tea, therefore, you must be fab :). The national gallery do some interesting ( sometimes dire..pot luck ) 1pm talks, perhaps you could go along and do some performance art in the middle of the talk. Jason 13/9/07
Great to see you are still true to your style. Oystein RL, Norway 10/9/07
What fantastic work, it is a real pleasure to take time out from reality, thank you for your work and showing it to the world - more please. Melissa, Rob, Rickette, Mia and Leeroy 9/9/07
I love, love, love the photos. Rebekah W-L, Japan 5/9/07
The nude lady all covered in fondant fancies and general high-tea joy is a wonder, I thoroughly enjoyed gazing at it. Amy A 5/9/07
I do like your stuff. Clever and funny. Although I feel sorry for the old ladies you were hassling in the old folks home. In one of them it looks like you were jumping through the windowto startle/ stun the old lady momentarily so you could steal her lovely tapestried cushions! Nicholas W 1/9/07
Pics are great - I feel the need to raid the dressing up box and cause a stir! Love yous! Julie B 30/8/07
Fantastic performance at the weekend it was very powerful. I was very suprised how strongly it affected me. Watching the audience was also fascinating. Adrian Ford 13/8/07

WOW! Very Cindy Sherman! I love the William and Harry self portrait. Zoe K 30/6/07
Humourous and dark - a cheery hostess with the body of her late husband in the cellar. I think your work is fabulous, you girls! Juliet 25/6/07
I really relish the moral ambiguity in your work because it gives the viewer a lot of room to take whatever they want from it. Chris W 19/6/07
love your work... gorgeous:) Natalie Alice H, Dublin, 14/6/07
Have viewed your website - what can I say? I was delighted with the imagery, clapped my hands with glee! When can I model? Louise Y 13/6/07

well done on the girls website, its fab! Elaine 8/6/07
Lovely website. Gracia 6/6/07
I followed a link to your website and I was hooked. Not that I'm at art expert or anything but your work reminds me of Cindy Sherman, particularly the exhibition she had at Gloucester Rd tube station about 4/5 years ago. Elizabeth C, London, 5/6/07
You're both amazing! josephine-poppy, Brighton x 4/6/07
I love your new website! very intelligent work! bj, NYC, 3/6/07
Wow. All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!! You'll have to forgive me because it's taken over a week for me to actually look at your website. The launch party consumed me. Your work is incredible. So brilliant, and you just have to get an exhibition going. Ali Wood, Editor, Listed Magazine 2/6/07
Great work. Euan M 2/6/07
I love the 'La Sirene' photograph where she's eating chips. Much better than silly singing Ariel with that ridiculously oversized fringe ever could be. Elizabeth, ACT Australia 29/5/07
I'm impressed. I never really knew what you two got up to and now I know. Sehr gut meine Freundinnen. Natalie 29/5/07
Nice cakes! James 26/5/07
I'm soooooo totally impressed with what you're doing. I can't wait to see what else you two lovely ladies get up to. The pics in the bath a la mermaid are great, and as for the arvo tea!! Really quite creepy in some senses. What a total hoot! The girls here at the school where I teach would say it's "Fully sick man". Keep up the creativity and come on down to Sydney town again soon - we luv youse all. Meg G, Canberra ACT Australia 25/5/07
'The Embodied Soul Passes Through Girlhood to Death' by The Girls.. conceptually and visually a stunning piece of feminine ascendancy which reduces men to their yachts and women to their halo's. Cliff Haysom (of art duo cliffandalex) 25/5/07
Brilliant that your art is reaching the wide audience it deserves; they're great. Please keep me informed re the book and any exhibitions. Matt 24/5/07
This work transports you into a different world! Cheeky yet cherub-like! Emma 24/5/07
Nice site. Love some of the photos, surreal, dark, humorous and fresh. Good stuff. Cheers, John 24/5/07

Exciting, serious work and a good site. SSG 14/05/07
My my, we have been busy, haven't we? What a great site, and what exquisite etchings. 22/5/07
You two have done so much great work. I really enjoy the way there's an ambiguity to so much of your work that allows the viewer a lot of space to take away what they want from it. Chris 20/05/07
I like this work a lot - nothing like I thought it would be...it's really performative...God. Great!! Caroline 18/05/07
Very impressed with your portfolio, it makes me feel lazy! Much, much. Peter 16/05/07

Get back out there Girls! The art world needs you (imagine pointing hand here). Kitty 9/5/07
Hey Girls! Great site, lovin' it. Interested to see what tidbits come my way via the mailing list. Charlie 2/5/07
The website looks marvellous, and obviously your work is outstanding - well done! Briony 20/4/07
Give me more of the 'Blood Sinclair' duo .................. I particularly liked 'Garden Party', perhaps you should replicate that one in the bunker, with all the trimmings of course. Cliff (Bunker Beuys) 13/4/07
I thought your pictures looked fantastic... really great pictures: I think you are closer to Cindy Sherman than Gilbert and George. Alex 23/3/07
Super stuff. I have to say that I find your work disconcerting as it keys into images of repressed Englishness. My grandparents lived in Tunbridge Wells and tea at their house was always like you portray it. It’s like your bungalow and the Ladybird books, there’s something painful and rigid about the books, but they also evoke an England that has vanished, like our childhood. Brian 22/3/07
Fabulous. Love it... can't wait to see more of your amazing photographs. Elvis 19/3/07
Is the girl in 'Garden Party' real or a cast? Dan 18/3/07
'Garden Party' is very Stanley Kubrick-esque! Ali 17/3/07
Your art has a totalitarian feel to it – sort of stuff the Communists used to produce. There’s a rather ‘idealistic’ sheen to your images. Brian 17/3/07
Stunned.... Oh, glorious stuff! Kate 16/3/07
