An English tea party with a twist will be peformed by art duo The Girls

Award-winning artist duo ‘The Girls’ will perform a surreal live art installation on Ladies Day at the Endorse-it in-Dorset Festival on Sunday at 3pm.

The Girls are artists Andrea Blood and Zoe Sinclair, both 31, who grew up in Dorset and met aged 16 as students at Parkstone Grammar School in Poole, beginning their collaboration at Central Saint Martins in 1996.

"This will be the first public performance of our live art installation, 'Garden Party'. We draw upon the idea of ‘Nyotaimori’ - the Japanese practice of eating sushi from the naked body of a woman - but give it an English twist!" said Andrea Blood.

The Girls have 2 forthcoming solo shows in London, and have exhibited at The National Portrait Gallery and the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art.

Over the weekend of 10 - 12 August, the fourth Endorse-it in-Dorset music festival will take place near the village of Sixpenny Handley in the beautiful setting of Cranborne Chase. On Ladies Day (Sunday 12th) everyone is invited to dress up for the day and indulge their most far fetched, dressing-up fantasies.

The festival goes from strength to strength, pulling in visitors and artists from around the globe and has grown from a one day event of 750 capacity, to a 3 day festival of 5,000. Acts this year include The Undertones and Tracey Emin's former partner, musician/poet Billy Childish. Adult weekend tickets are £75.
